The Vaiga Method
A complete home theater is more than electronics — it's architecture, acoustics, aesthetics, and technology converging into one seamless experience. Here is our proven 8-step build process.
We begin with a detailed conversation about your vision — how you watch films, how many people you host, your aesthetic preferences, and your budget. We visit your home, assess available rooms, and discuss possibilities. This is where your dream begins to take shape.
Our acoustic engineers measure your selected room's dimensions, analyze existing materials, and use advanced software to model sound behavior. We identify flutter echoes, bass resonance zones, and reflection points that must be addressed for cinema-quality audio performance.
Using your measurements and preferences, we create a full 3D rendering of your theater — screen size and placement, speaker positions, seating layout, lighting plan, and interior finishes. We design the AV system architecture specifying every component, cable route, and equipment rack configuration.
Before any equipment arrives, we prepare the room structurally. This includes floating floor systems to eliminate vibration transfer, decoupled wall construction with resilient channels, mass-loaded vinyl barriers, and acoustic insulation in walls and ceiling. This stage is the foundation of your theater's performance.
All cabling — HDMI 2.1, speaker wire, HDBT, power conditioning lines, Ethernet, and control wiring — is installed in the walls before any finishing work. We use only high-grade shielded cable and conduit, with meticulous labeling for future serviceability. Equipment racks are pre-built and pre-tested off-site.
Walls are finished with fabric-wrapped acoustic panels, diffusers, and bass trap corners. Tiered flooring is installed, stage risers are constructed, and the ceiling is finished with acoustic tile or fabric stretched ceilings. LED aisle lighting, perimeter lighting, and bias lighting around the screen are installed.
The projector or display is mounted and aligned. All speakers — including in-ceiling Atmos height channels — are installed and wired. The AV processor, amplifiers, streaming devices, and media server are racked and connected. Smart home controls are programmed for one-touch scene automation. Motorized screen deployment is installed and tested.
We calibrate the projector using a colorimeter for perfect white balance, gamma, and color gamut. The audio system is calibrated using Audyssey or Dirac Live with measurement microphones. We conduct a full performance review with you, demonstrate all features, hand over comprehensive documentation, and walk you through your first screening — in style.
